A New Perspective provides a variety of support services for clients who have been court-ordered for DUI and DWAI Education and/or Therapy, Domestic Violence Classes, or other Substance Related Charges

DUI and DWAI CLASSES
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CLASS
RELAPSE PREVENTION

Our classes meet all DMV and Colorado Court Requirements for Level II Education and Therapy Requirements using the Driving with Care curriculum - based upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts.

Our classes meet all DVOMB and  Colorado Court Requirements for clients with a conviction that has a domestic violence enhancement to the charge.  Classes and groups are based upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts.  Attendance in these groups are limited to clients convicted of domestic violence enhanced offense, who have completed a DVOMB-approved evaluation - and are NOT open to the general public.

Our Relapse Prevention Program groups focus on each client developing a formal relapse prevention plan - along with support network ideas and contacts.  These groups are lead by highly competent and experienced addictions counselors and are open to any clients, whether court-ordered or not.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE EVALS

Our standard Substance Abuse Evaluations are prepared to satisfy court-ordered requirements for criminal convictions associated with possession, distribution, use or abuse of substances, alcohol and other drugs.   A detailed Differential Assessment process is deployed by certified addictions counselors in completing these requirements.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE EVALS

Our standard Post Sentence Domestic Violence Evaluations are prepared to satisfy court-ordered requirements for criminal convictions associated with domestic violence enhanced charges. A detailed Differential Assessment process is deployed using the DVOMB approved Domestic Violence Risk and Needs Assessment (DVRNA) in completing these requirements.

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

Our staff is available for a variety of individual counseling sessions, generally in support of substance abuse and domestic abuse issues.

OUT OF STATE DUI

Our Out of State Substance Abuse Evaluations are prepared to satisfy court-ordered requirements for criminal convictions associated with DUI or possession/abuse of substances.   A detailed Differential Assessment process is deployed by certified addictions counselors in completing these requirements.  Treatment recommendations are based upon Colorado standards of care, not individual referring states.

LEVEL ONE DUI CLASS

Our class meets all DMV and Colorado Court Requirements for Level I Education Requirements using the Driving with Care curriculum - based upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts.

SOBRIETY MONITORING

Due to COVID, we are currently referring all breath testing and urinalysis testing to local monitoring providers that are better equipped to safely deliver these services.
